As the year’s end approaches, so does the final recap of the latest NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days edition. In the next weeks, we are going to present evaluation of different aspects of organisation, as well as some pieces of interesting information. As first topic in the series, we are presenting some data on the traffic management, one of the crucial elements for the overall success of the show.

Anniversary lunch with 307th Bomb Wing
This year marks the fifth anniversary since the first US Strategic B-52 bomber took part at the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. To honour this jubilee, on Friday, 13 November, Jagello 2000 hosted an “anniversary lunch” in Shreveport, Louisiana, for the members of the 307th Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, who have managed the B-52 visits in Ostrava. On the same occasion, a sister-city partnership between Shreveport and Ostrava was signed and the “Broken Wings” exhibition was presented at the Barksdale AFB.

Mošnov was occupied by more than seventy aircraft
During this year’s NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, Ostrava Leoš Janáček Airport experienced besides air giants’ participation also the visit of more than seventy types of planes and helicopters.
NATO Days in Ostrava is the Biggest Security Show in Europe
Over 70,000 visitors have fully enjoyed the second day of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2015. Together with the Saturday´s record single-day visitor rate of 155,000, the total attendance reached 225,000, thus tying the records of 2014 and 2011.

Sunday programme enriched by C-17 and AWACS flypasts
The first day of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days was the most successful day of the show ever with 155,000 visitors. And Sunday programme is also worth seeing, as it offers some special displays, especially interesting flypasts of the U.S. C-17 Globemaster and NATO’s E-3A AWACS.
