NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days

Ostrava Municipal Police reacts on the increasing number of visitors of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days arriving on bikes and prepares three free of charge guarded bicycle storages with the capacity of more than 10,000 bikes. Traditionally, the policemen will also monitor the bike route from Ostrava to the of event’s venue.

Free of charge bicycle storages are very popular each year, therefore the organizers of the event have altogether with the Ostrava Municipal Police decided to extend the possibilities for the visitors to park their bikes. The bicycle storages no. 1 and 2 will be supported by the storage at the gate no. 3 (see the area plan).  

„Based on our good experience from the last year, the bike storages will be again placed in front of the entrance of the event area. Moreover, the bikers can use the storages at 7:00AM thanks to the helpfulness and willingness of the officers,” said Pavel Boháč from Jagello 2000. Last year, the Ostrava Municipal Police prepared two entrances (A, B) at the storage no. 2 for the quicker check-in: one from the Petřvaldík direction and the other one from Albrechtičky. The two entrances remain for this year as well.

The officers will also monitor the traffic at the bike routes around the venue to make them safe for all users. Particularly, the most monitored will be so called Amber track, which leads from Krakow, through Ostrava to Vienna, closely to the place of event.
