Smartphone app with programme available also this year
After last year’s success of mobile app that included programme for each day, the visitors of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will be able to use the handy app this year as well.
“Always up-to-date schedule, simple, nice, useful and for free. Thank you!” Robert Dostál comments on play.google.com. The visitors of the biggest security show in Europe will have an opportunity to download an application that will show them what is happening on NATO Days. It’s already available to download for Android at Google Play. In few days, a version for Apple iOS will also be available, release of which has been delayed due to prolonged approval process. However, users of Windows Phone will not be able to get this app as it would be too expensive to develop Windows Phone version.
The app hasn’t changed much in comparison to last year’s version. “Main window will feature the name of display and its type. Blue stripe means air display, green – ground display and red means that the display has been cancelled,” said Ivan Zit, IT coordinator, Jagello 2000.
The app will also display recent news and updates from www.natodays.cz and provide information about event. “Users will get advice on how to get to the area, where to find an accommodation or evacuation plan. They will also find a map of area,” Zit adds. "We would like to thank Jiří Kašuba and Petr Hromek, the students of University of Defence, who developed the app in their free time and without any fee."
For owners of smart phones, Jagello 2000 created an official Twitter account with updates from NATO Days and other activites of the organisation. The posts connected to NATO Days will be displayed with hashtag #natodays. The visitors can also use app of PLA Administration Poodří. It contains interesting places to visit in Poodří.

Mobile phone operators are also preparing for a large number of visitors at Mošnov Airport. During the event, mobile signal in Mošnov airport area will be amplified.
