TRANSPORT: To NATO Days with Czech Railways trains and ARRIVA MORAVA buses

Official transporters of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days – Czech Railways, a.s. and ARRIVA MORAVA, a.s.- will traditionally take care of your comfortable journey straight to the event's venue and thus help avoid usual traffic jams on the roads surrounding the Airport. Visitors will also have the opportunity to use both cycling and walking routes to get to the venue. 

The enforced trains of the Czech Railways, including the SuperCity trains, will make extra stops at Studénka station, where ARRIVA MORAVA will provide shuttle bus service with a discounted return tickets. The Czech Railways will also provide special trains from Prague, Brno and Olomouc directly to Mošnov, and strengthen regional lines on the route (Bohumín)-Ostrava-Mošnov, Ostrava Airport. Visitors of the event may arrive to Ostrava Airport station by special trains marked as „NATO Days“ as well. Furthermore, the Czech railways have prepared a special railjet train from Prague, however, reservation of a seat is compulsory there. From the Mošnov train station, there is a three kilometer long pedestrian route leading directly to the venue.

ln addition, ARRIVA MORAVA will provide a shuttle bus service from the Studéntka train station to the Albrechtičky village, which lies about 1.3 away from the event's venue. It will also be possible to use a two-way bus from stations Ostrava ÚAN, Hrabůvka Poliklinika and Dubina, Václava Jiřikovského to Petřvald, Petřvaldík, from where visitors can use a 900 meter walking route to the venue. Bus tickets, including the discounted ones, will be sold directly by the bus drivers.

TIP: Timetable of special trains

Besides the bus possibilities, there are also two tourist routes from Studénka suitable for both walking and cycling. These marked routes go straight through the Protected Landscape Poodří and on the route Studénka-Albrechtičky, there will be members of the Nature Guard ready to answer visitors' questions. Please behave yourselves during your journey within this area and do not throw away any garbage.

Visitors of the show arriving by bicycle may use three free of charge guarded storages with the capacity of more than 10,000 bicycles. These storages will be open from 7:00AM and guarded by Ostrava Municipal Police, which will also send their officers to monitor the main cycling route leading from Kraków through Ostrava to Vienna and passing the event’s venue.
