USA will be the partner nation of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2018

This year's NATO Days in Ostrava and the Air Force Days of the Czech Armed Forces already know their Special Partner Nation - it will be the United States of America. It was announced by the US Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Stephen B. King in Stara Boleslav during a meeting with US soldiers transfering across the territory of the Czech Republic in the framework of  the Saber Strike 2018 exercise.

“In honor of the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Czechoslovakia, I am proud to announce that the United States has agreed to be the 'Special Partner Nation' for NATO Days in Ostrava in September," stated Ambassador Stephen B. King. "You can expect exceptional participation by the U.S. military in this event, as we highlight and honor the outstanding U.S.-Czech relationship as well as our mutual membership in the NATO alliance.”

NATO Days in Ostrava presented the concept of the Special Partner Nation in 2014, when it became Poland, Sweden followed a year later. In a large extent, Germany presented its armed forces and security services in 2016, and last year's partner country was Slovakia.

"We greatly appreciate the fact that the United States has accepted our offer. The United States has been regularly participating in NATO Days since 2007, always with a very interesting equipment. That is why we are extremely pleased they will be the Special Partner Nation in this jubilee year," said Zbyněk Pavlačík, chairman of Jagello 2000 Association, main organizing agency.

It is still not known what equipment will the United States present in September at the Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport, where NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days traditionally take place, so it will be revealed later, after its confirmation.
