Swedish Historic Flight Will Introduce Saab 105 And AJS 37 Viggen

17.09.2013, 18:20

The Swedish Air Force Historic Flight is going to send a Saab 105 aircraft together with the AJS 37 Viggen. The Saab 105 replaces the originally planned J29F aircraft, which has to stay in Sweden. Both aircraft are going to arrive on Saturday around twelve o’clock, when they will offer a fly-by and they will present their own dynamic displays later in the afternoon.

“The originally planned Tunnan aircraft is grounded, however the Swedish Historic Flight went great lengths to offer a replacement of Saab 105,” Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of the Jagello 2000 Association, which is the main organizer of the event, says. “We are extremely delighted with all the support of our Swedish partners and that we can offer two Swedish historical aircrafts, AJS 37 Viggen, Saab 105, to our visitors together with KC-130 tanker, all of which are going to present themselves in dynamic display,” Pavlačík adds.

Saab 105 aircraft made by Swedish Saab company had their first flight in 1963 and since then they have been serving as an attack and training aircraft and many more. They serve in the Swedish and Austrian air forces even today as training aircraft. They are sometimes called as SK 60, which is the Swedish Air Force designation.

The Swedish Historic Flight is therefore going to introduce AJS 37 Viggen and Saab 105 aircraft. We can look forward to both of their solo dynamic displays on both days of the Weekend Show. Their arrival is preliminarily planned for the twelfth hour on Saturday, when they will perform a fly-by.
