Slovakia to Send MiG-29s to NATO Days Again

08.03.2013, 20:26

NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will again feature highly attractive MiG-29 Fulcrum aircraft demonstration of the Slovak Air Force. Although so called dogfight will not be on schedule, visitors could enjoy static and dynamic presentations while other aircrafts can be added as bonus as well.

“We are truly pleased to see Slovak aircrafts displayed for our visitors. As in previous years Slovakia has intention not only to show the flying performance, but visitors will be allowed to enjoy unique up-close view into aircraft,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Jagello 2000 Chairman.

Last year Slovak MiGs presented attractive manoeuvre air combat one on one (called „dogfight“), this year the performance most likely will not be on schedule, but other aircraft-type displays are being negotiated to participate.

„We should bear in mind that mentioned airplanes are not yet confirmed by Slovak Air Force and final Slovak line-up can be slightly different,” says Pavlačík.

Slovak Air Force has participated at NATO Days in Ostrava for the first time in 2002. Initially only ground forces attended the show; air force has given performances since 2010 with static and dynamic presentations of MiG-29s. This year will be the fourth in row where visitors could enjoy Slovak MiGs in action.
