16.09.2013, 13:41

You can look forward to a fly-by of aircrafts of the Centre of Aviation Centre Pardubice at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. A formation of three Z-142 Zlíns, two L-39 Albatrosses and one L-410 Turbolet is going to fly over visitors’ heads.

“The Centre of Aviation Training Pardubice is a long-term participant of NATO Days in Ostrava. It is going to offer a fly-by for the first time this year. These planes are used in training of our air force pilots and we are therefore glad to have the opportunity to see them in the air,” Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of the Jagello 2000 Association, which is the main organizer of the event, says. The centre is going to offer Z-142 Zlín, L-39 Albatross and Mi-2 helicopter at the static display, which were able to see in the last years.

Centre of Aviation Training Pardubice belongs under LOM Praha state company and performs aviation training for our air force. The formation of three Z-142 Zlín and one L-410 and L-39 is going to perform a fly-by to remind us of importance of such aircrafts for training of future combat pilots.

The way to a cockpit of a combat aircraft is long and difficult. It starts with successful admission to the University of Defence’s Air Traffic – Control of Air Traffic study programme. Out of the admitted students, only 10 best move to a four years long pilot speciality studies after the first year of study. In the framework of the studies, the students finish 50 flight hours with Z-142 C AF aircraft and more flight training follows after completion of the studies. This advanced training is conducted with L-39, Mi-2, Mi-17 or L-410 aircrafts of the Centre of Aviation Training Pardubice and then the pilots are dispatched to their new home base and aircraft within the framework of the Czech Air Force.
