Greece back in Ostrava, confirmed participation at 2012 NATO Days
The list of participating countries this year keeps growing. Greece has just confirmed its presence, coming back after 3 years with a Mirage 2000-5.
Mirage 2000-5 has seen its premiere display in Ostrava in 2009, accompanied by a Mirage 2000N of the French Air Force. Organizers wished the -5 type to return again, but were not very hopeful, considering the present economic situation in Europe.
“Every year, we invite all NATO member countries to participate at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. This year´s Greek participation is yet another evidence of their high respect for our event,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík from Jagello 2000.

Mirage 2000-5 Mk2 is the most modern Mirage variant. Along with F-16 Block 52+ is the most advanced fighter aircraft in the Hellenic Air Force inventory. Mirage 2000-5 is a multipurpose fighter in service with the 331st Squadron, 114 Combat Wing at Tanagra Air Base. This variant is one of three that have been on display at NATO Days in Ostrava. The other two, the N and D versions, were presented by France.
