Prison Service is Going to Present Itself with its Slovak Colleagues in Ostrava
The Prison Service of the Czech Republic will present itself at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days with an attractive dynamic display also this year. Together with Slovak prison service it will offer an exciting display of protection of prison escort under attack.
“Displays of interventions by prison service officers traditionally belong to the most attractive for visitors and this is not going to change this year,” Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of the organizing Jagello 2000 Association, promises. For the first time the Czech prison service is going to perform its display together with its Slovak colleagues from Prison and judicial guard corps. The visitors will see the cooperation of both services in detention of the prisoners and repelling the attack on the escort.
“Even though catching a fugitive or conducting prisoner escorts belongs to everyday routine of prison service officers, the dynamic display at Mošnov airport looks more like a scene from an action movie. Its premiere international dimension nicely fits into aims of our event, that is to point out the benefits of international cooperation and promote it,” Pavlačík comments.
“On the static display we will introduce not only ours, but also Slovak escort vehicles, a new escort bus, an armoured vehicle for transport of dangerous prisoners and much more,” Col. Jiří Ruprecht, the director of Olomouc hold prison, entices the visitors. “Then there will be a tent with an impressive exposition of coercive measures,” Ruprecht adds.
The Prison Service of the Czech Republic is one of armed security services in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to carry out arrest holds and jail sentences. These tasks concern primarily the prison guard, one of the prison service’s components. Another component is for example the judicial guard, which secures order and safety in courts, state attorney’s offices and the ministry of justice.
