The Attendance on XIX. NATO Days in Ostrava & X. Days of the Czech Air Force exceeded 220,000 spectators. This number has become a long-term standard. The weekend program of NATO Days culminated with the presentation of an award for the best flight display according to the viewers' vote for Ivan Kardoš and Martin Šonka. The award for presented by the Mayor of Ostrava Tomáš Macura. Their exceptional show, which they performed during a joint performance of JAS-39 Gripen and Extra 300, was perceived as an acknowledgement by the audience for their long-term confidence. NATO Days clearly demonstrate that they belong to Europe's top military shows.

The XIX. NATO Days in Ostrava & X. The Czech Air Force Days program celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Czech Republic's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the NATO. In pleasant weather, approximately 125,000 visitors attended the first day of the largest security show in Europe. While the ground exposition was dominated by a static display of the gigantic aeroplanes and the ground forces of 3 foreign countries, the air was filled by the attractive show of 3 aerobatic groups. This year's special partner country is Romania and the flags of the 17 participating countries and the NATO flag fly over Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava.

The NATO Days will host ground forces from four foreign countries

Once again, the US Armed Forces will not only be represented by the Air Force and the Marine Corps at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days but also by armoured vehicles of the US Army. For the first time in the history of the event, the Mošnov airport will host ground forces and their equipment from four foreign countries.

Visitors to this year's NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days can look forward to a unique demonstration of a joint airborne assault. Forty members of the 43rd Airborne Battalion of the Czech Army and the Polish Special Forces AGAT will commemorate 20 years of the alliance between the two states in the NATO and the 75th anniversary of the largest airborne operation in history.
