We open the central parking area at 6.30 at the weekend

20.09.2012, 09:14

If you are planning to travel to NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days by car, we will open the central planning area at 6.30. We hope to prevent the traffic jams growing huge by this measure and pulverizing the traffic.

“Firstly we would like to ask the drivers to behave considerably and to heed by organizers’ and traffic policemen’s orders and also to prepare for possible delays, which will most certainly appear due to enormous numbers of cars in spite of all our efforts,” Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of the Jagello 2000 Association, which organizes NATO Days in Ostrava, said.

TIP: Information about travel by car (natodays.cz)

TIP: Information and maps of the area (natodays.cz)

Please bear in mind that while the entry to the event is FREE, a spot central parking zone costs 150 CZK for a car a day. Please prepare the amount in advance to speed up the whole process at entry to the zone and therefore to avoid traffic problems. Our call for patience and respectful behaviour applies also to visitors using other means of transport.

We are opening the central parking area half hour earlier than last year, at 6:30. The gates to the venue open at 8.30. The central parking area lies just next to flying display aircrafts, so it is possible to shorten the wait by admiring them. On Saturday the gates are open till 18.00 and on Sunday till 17.00. It is not possible to move these figures due to organizational reasons and they are binding, so the remaining visitors will be asked to leave by the security.
