Norway becomes the 12th officially confirmed country bringing its air force to NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2012.
Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) made its debut at Ostrava last year with two F-16 MLU multipurpose supersonic planes displayed in the static park. The same form of presentation has been confirmed for this year when RNoAF celebrates its 100th anniversary.
This year, the Norwegian F-16s will be arriving from a different base – Bodø AB, home of the 132nd Airwing. The Bodø base is located north of the Arctic Circle and is the northernmost permanent air base in all NATO countries.
NATO Days spectators will have a chance to see Norwegian and Dutch F-16 versions at the static display. The F-16 is the most widely represented multipurpose fighter aircraft in NATO air forces. Moreover, another F-16s will be presented in attractive dynamic displays by Turkish and Dutch air force pilots.
